Al Hall joined Wolverine Assemblies, LLC, in 2019 as president and chief operating officer. He is responsible for overseeing the management of Wolverine Assemblies, LLC. His career in the automotive industry spans over 40 years and focused on improving operational performance by leveraging lean and agile production technology and manufacturing methodology.
Prior to joining Wolverine Assemblies, LLC, Mr. Hall was president and chief executive officer of International Agile Manufacturing, LLC, an automotive industry management consulting firm. He held controlling interest in the company whose clients included General Motors, Ford and Tier 1 automotive suppliers. The company developed and executed lean and agile systems strategies that helped clients achieve a competitive advantage by improving the quality of their products.
Mr. Hall joined Ryobi Die Casting as a machining consultant and was later promoted to the position of general manager for domestic machining. During his tenure with the company, he was responsible for the product launch of the aluminum- based Honda sub-frame. He reduced cost and improved the quality and delivery of Ryobi’s high-pressure aluminum die-cast machine products. He also improved safety records and reduced maintenance costs on capital equipment. Prior to joining Ryobi Die Casting, Mr. Hall retired from General Motors as Director of Lean Systems for Competitive Operations. He also held the position of plant manager for the metal fabrication division during his years at General Motors.
Mr. Hall received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in manufacturing management from Kettering University. He also attended the Manufacturing Strategy Program at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and completed executive programs at the University of Michigan and Harvard University. He is a past recipient of Dollars and Sense magazine’s Outstanding Business Award and was honored as an Entrepreneur of the Year by Indiana Wesleyan University.
